Men and Women Compete For Appoinments To US Team

Once again the country's best doubles players were at the ASU Student Recreation Complex, February 11-15, 2009, in Tempe, AZ to compete in the 2009 USA Racquetball National Doubles Raquetball Championships presented by Head/Penn Racquet Sports. The “National Doubles” is the only national championship for doubles competition in open, skill, age group divisions and is sponsored by Ektelon, Gearbox, ProKennex and Wilson.

In addition, finalists in the Men's and Women's National Team Qualifier Divisions earn one year appointments to the U.S. National Team. The finals of the Men's U.S. Team Qualifier division was filled with excitement and some witnessed probably the greatest comeback as Rocky Carson/Jack Huczek defeated Ben Croft/Mitch Williams, 15-9, 7-15, 11-10.

The Women's U.S. Team final ended with Jackie Paraiso/Aimee Ruiz defeating Rhonda Rajsich/Janel Tisinger, 15-11, 15-13.
